Prius Keeps Car Dealers Busy

An efficient, reliable and technologically advanced version of Toyota's hybrids available in the U.S. market is the Toyota Prius.

Toyota Motor Corporation Limited has introduced a Prius in the U.S. market in 2001. So far, the units of Prius sold in the United States were 163000. Of this total, approximately 53,991 units were sold during 2006. In 2007, the company has provided for the sale of units, some Prius 110000.

The most important feature of the hybrid vehicle is that it is a technique that uses two power sources. A classic is a fuel that produces power the gasoline engine, while the other is electric. According to Dave Hermance, who is an engineer and run vehicles, the Toyota Technical Center USA, the programming inside the car has an electronic control system, which determines the transition to electricity is the petrol engine. However, technology is the design of a seamless transition, while the vehicle is running. In addition, 55 miles per gallon, the second revolutionary feature of the Prius is that it does not require a replacement battery for the whole lifecycle of the car.

When the Prius was the beginning, it was not well received by consumers and critics. Some common problems have been irregular and faulty ignition control breaks. Toyota has had to review the car and managed to introduce an improved second-generation hybrid version of the Prius in 2004. According to various technicians and engineers across the country, there are very few customers who come to the service problem for their Prius.
