Toyota's Prius to be Built in China

The Toyota Prius, a hybrid car built on the gas-electric technology, will soon receive a major production increase. Toyota and not a Chinese manufacturing company have sealed an agreement where both companies will work together to produce the Prius in the world for export. This bodes well for the American consumer, who has to endure long waits for a new Prius. More importantly, the move marks a radical change in the way Japanese cars are built and marketed. If you wait nine months for a car, then you really need this model. This is exactly what the future Prius owners have been made, and other owners of hybrid cars, including some Honda models. No manufacturer has been able to follow the growth of demand and, despite lower fuel prices, demand continues to increase.

For Toyota, the levels of production on virtually all cars produced were very high. Thus, even the production of more than the Prius was impossible that the manufacturing capacity has been stretched thin. So far, that is.
